Juggle Pop
Light-Hearted Balloon Survival Game

"Juggle Pop is a simple game where you traverse through levels while avoiding anything that is pointy. Players must utilize pitch and yaw while also controlling the balloon character's floatiness to maneuver through the courses." This was my first project using a next generation game engine."
Design Process
I created this video in Maya to show off to my team members a game idea I had in mind for our Game Mod class  at DePaul University. This took me only two hours to make and it's just a great asset for a designer to get your ideas or gameplay scenarios off fast: show don't tell! This video would become the basis for the game Juggle Pop. 
The theme for Juggle Pop's first level was a whimsical candy world. My inspiration behind the art direction was Willy Wonka and nostalgic levels from old Nintendo 64 games. As you can see, I made a lot of changes in development to make the world a lot more cohesive. Frosting trim, thicker chocolate, chocolate waterfalls, and iterative lighting passes.
